Know Your Rights In Everyday Situations

Knowing your rights nowadays is quite a staggering task. Laws change state to state and trying to decifer those changes and keep track of what you are and are not able to do, becomes difficult. The truth is that over 90% of the current population in the U.S. wouldn’t know their rights in a variety of scenarios. Would you be aware of your rights if you had trouble dealing with the IRS? What about in a traffic violation? Were you aware that in certain situations, you have the right to refuse requests from police, until legal representation is there?

You can find some great resources on citizen’s rights at these sites:

These sites represent just a small smattering of what is out there. Knowing your rights, makes it easier for you to know answers to many every day questions. Questions or arguments that arise in landlord disputes, automobile purchases or any other question. I even recently had a simple question about a contract I was about to sign, that I later found out needed to be re-worded, or I would have lost many of my options for my part of the contract.

The possibilities are endless, and it seems like just when you think you either know everything that could arise, something new pops up.

I have my own lawyer now, and it costs me less than my daily cup of java.

Do you?
